Ghost guns, AR-style rifle lead to 6 year prison sentence for Rockford man

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Azarius Curtis, 20, will spend 6 years in prison after he was caught with four guns — including an AR-style rifle, a “ghost gun,” and another with a machine gun “switch” device — during a traffic stop in Rockford earlier this year.

Winnebago County State’s Attorney J. Hanley said Curtis was stopped by Rockford Police’s Specialized Community Oriented Policing Enforcement (SCOPE) team on August 23 and tried to run from officers.
