Goodwill of Southern Nevada (Goodwill®) is proud to announce it opened a new retail thrift store on Raiders Way in Henderson on Friday, December 19. The new store offers tens of thousands of unique clothing, housewares, electronics, and other items generously donated by the community and carefully prepared every day for sale by the store’s team members.
“Establishing our third Goodwill retail store and donation center in Henderson will provide a convenient service for residents of the growing area of Inspirada and surrounding neighborhoods,” said Goodwill of Southern Nevada President and CEO Rick Neal. “Our neighbors throughout the area will donate and shop with the pride of knowing they are supporting Goodwill workforce development programs that offer careers as medical professionals, stagehands, truck drivers, welders, and other skilled trades, in addition to opportunities at Goodwill.” The Goodwill Raiders Way Store will be managed and operated by forty Goodwill team members.
The donation and sale of gently used household items support Goodwill career services and train-to-hire programs. A team of ten career coaches stationed at two store-based career centers, the JA Career Center managed by Goodwill Career Services, and the Goodwill Training Academy provide personalized guidance to job seekers and military veterans as they explore training programs, skills workshops, and supportive services that lead to meaningful employment and thriving careers…
