Crafters around Puget Sound are among thousands across the country spreading smiles by leaving small, crocheted items in random locations for people to find.
Random Acts of Crocheted Kindness USA is an online community dedicated to sharing joy. From butterflies and flowers to smiling dumplings and mini Pop-Tarts, the treasures are frequently found in grocery stores, parks and libraries.
Crafters place their creation inside a small baggie, along with an inspirational note (called a tag) meant to brighten the finder’s day. The tag encourages the finder to post their discovery, along with a comment and photo, on the group’s Facebook page.
