New K9 Bloodhound provides special expertise to Columbia County

with EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office has added a new four-legged member to its team with the addition of Angel, an 11-month-old bloodhound who specializes in finding missing people.

Work is moving along for the Augusta Arena, with less than two years remaining until the project is finished.

Angel joined the sheriff’s office to partner with Deputy Bryan Hood in the crime suppression unit. The bloodhound has already been deployed twice in cases where missing people were found.
