MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office said that a Spruce Pine man has been charged in the theft of a truck.
Deputies charged 27-year-old Nicholas Gregory Pendley with felony larceny of a motor vehicle. He was denied bond due to already being out on pretrial release.
On Dec. 2, a deputy spoke with a woman about a vehicle theft. The victim stated an acquaintance had removed her vehicle from her driveway without authorization. The victim also stated she located the vehicle at an auto body shop in Spruce Pine, but was unable to retrieve it due to a “mechanics lien” having been placed on it…
