Lovelady Center expands housing mission with new apartment complex honoring late founder

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – The Lovelady Center is expanding its mission to help women and children rebuild their lives with the purchase of a 56-unit apartment complex designed to provide stable housing after recovery.

The nonprofit announced the acquisition on Facebook, saying the apartments will offer women who complete the Lovelady Center’s program a safe place to live as they transition back into everyday life.

The complex will be called Brenda’s Courtyard, named in honor of the center’s late founder, who passed away in December 2024…
