A man suffered life‑threatening injuries in a late‑night stabbing near Emeryville’s newly built Nellie Hannon Gateway supportive‑housing complex and was rushed to Oakland’s Highland Hospital for emergency surgery. The disturbance was reported at about 11:05 PM Sunday, where responding officers found the victim with a chest wound.
