(FOX40.COM) — Stockton Police Department and city officials celebrated the opening of a new Police Substation on Tuesday in the city’s Sierra Vista neighborhood, marking the first substation to open in years after much community demand.
The new substation is located at 1648 East Twelfth Street and is one of two planned facilities aimed at increasing police presence and access to public safety resources in underserved areas. The second substation is still in development and will be located in the Weston Ranch area.
