HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) – The Rockingham County–Harrisonburg SPCA (RHSPCA) is nearing the end of its “Home for the Holidays” pet-delivery adoption program. The program began Dec. 16 and runs through Dec. 25.
RHSPCA said they still have plenty of pets ready to join local families. Since COVID-19, pet adoptions have been more difficult, so hosting this program has been essential for finding animals new homes; Especially during the holidays.
“I think the emotional appeal of having pets home for the holidays helps reduce the number of animals in the shelter. Our goal is to find homes for them, and they’re extra special when we know they get to experience the holidays with their families as well.
