Five Injured in Early Morning Shootout at Arlington House Party Includes Teenager, Jacksonville Authorities Seeking Suspect

An early morning shootout at an Arlington house party has left five people injured, including a 16-year-old. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed to News4JAX that police responded to a call at around 3 a.m. at a residence on the 1200 block of Arlingwood Avenue. JSO Lieutenant Katsacos detailed to First Coast News how the incident unfolded. The victims, two women in their early 20s and two men also in their early 20s, suffered non-life-threatening wounds. The 16-year-old was shot in the back but is also expected to recover. The suspect, described as a young male, had fled the scene before officers arrived.

Neighbors in the area expressed grave concerns, with one, Eunice Haga, telling News4JAX, “I have a family too and there are kids around and it’s frustrating to watch. I just want to advocate for my community and my neighborhood.” Another local resident, Alicia Davis, voiced her fears to News4JAX, saying, since the first shooting at the home, she doesn’t let her children play outside after dark. “This is just coming to a point where is it going to have to take one of my children to get shot in order for them to shut this down at this point? Because that’s where I’m at,” Davis lamented…
