ChristianaCare Unveils New LifeNet Helicopter to Expand Emergency Air Medical Care

The next-generation aircraft will serve patients across Delaware, increasing ChristianaCare’s 24/7 capability to transport critically ill and injured patients.

NEW CASTLE, Del. — ChristianaCare and Air Methods marked a major milestone in emergency medical response Dec. 17 with the ribbon cutting of a new Airbus H145 D3 helicopter for ChristianaCare LifeNet at New Castle Airport .

The next-generation aircraft joins ChristianaCare’s LifeNet air medical program, operated in partnership with Air Methods, and will serve patients across Delaware and parts of Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Officials said the helicopter is the first H145 D3 operating in the Northeast, strengthening the program’s 24/7 capability to transport critically ill and injured patients.
