Man arrested for allegedly fatally shooting 22-year-old in Denham Springs

DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (WAFB) – Deputies arrested a man accused of killing 22-year-old Tyree Lionel Worthy in Denham Springs over the weekend.

According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, Kylin Jamar Sexton, 26, of Hammond, was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on Tuesday, Dec. 23. He is facing charges for second-degree murder, felon in possession of a firearm, and theft of a motor vehicle.

The shooting reportedly happened around 3 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21, on Longwood Drive.
