U.S. Immigrations and Customs (ICE) says one of its agent fired his gun “defensively” after he and another agent were allegedly struck by a motorist attempting to flee arrest in St. Paul on Sunday morning.
The use-of-force incident happened around 8:20 a.m. on the 1300 block of Westminster Street, prompting a response from the St. Paul Police Department, which doesn’t cooperate with federal immigration enforcement.
ICE claims that while pursuing a man originally from Cuba, an agent “defensively” fired his weapon after the man rammed into agents and their vehicles after he was pulled over.
No one was struck by the gunfire. The agents who were allegedly hit by the man’s vehicle are expected to recover…
