MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – If you mail in your property tax payments, you may want to send your checks sooner than you have in the past, according to local treasurers.
Because of a change from the U.S. Postal Service in how it postmarks mail, your tax payment could be considered late if you wait until the last minute.
Instead of postmarking your envelope when it gets to the post office, USPS officials will now mark it when it gets to a regional sorting facility…
