You can’t buy most alcohol on Christmas in KS. When Wichita liquor stores are open

Christmas week is here, and it usually brings a long grocery list, especially if you’re the one hosting.

If you’re planning on serving any holiday cocktails for your Christmas gathering, be sure to purchase what you need in advance. Kansas state law does not allow liquor stores to operate Christmas Day, one of the three holidays liquor store sales aren’t allowed.

There are no laws prohibiting restaurants serving alcohol Christmas Day, however. There are also no laws restricting grocery stores from selling beers or malt beverages, though you might have difficulties finding a grocery store that’s open on the major holiday…
