FBI agents deliver Christmas gifts to Tucson families in need

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – FBI agents traded their typical law enforcement duties for a special holiday mission by delivering Christmas gifts to children in need through a partnership with the Salvation Army.

Red and blue lights flashed as Tucson FBI agents arrived at the Salvation Army to distribute presents and spread Christmas cheer to local families.

“It’s important to us that we want to give back,” said Jon Edwards, assistant special agent in charge of the Tucson FBI. “Most of the men and women of the FBI here in Tucson, this is their community, this is where they live, they’re service oriented and they want to give back to their community and this makes them feel good to do that.”

The FBI office maintains an angel tree tradition where agents select gift requests from local children. Edwards said agents can participate individually or as groups to fulfill the wish lists…
