HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Two more lawsuits filed over abuse by a former Horry County special education teacher have reached settlements.
Six families filed lawsuits against Horry County Schools, former Ocean Bay special education teacher Grace McColgan and former Ocean Bay Elementary School principal Rebecca Schroyer, after McColgan abused their children.
Records show four of the six lawsuits have now been settled, with two of the lawsuits reaching settlements of $150,000 each on Nov. 19 and Dec. 22, respectively. The other lawsuits were previously settled in July for $150,000 each…
