‘Lives are at stake’: Mass. corrections officers call for urgent crackdown on drug smuggling

BOSTON — Correction officers are sounding the alarm about drug smuggling into prisons, saying “officers’ and inmates’ lives are at stake” after the Department of Correction reported several arrests for drugs and contraband.
