Man injured in overnight shooting in Little Village

CHICAGO — A man is recovering in the hospital on Tuesday morning after he was injured in a shooting on the city’s West Side overnight.

According to police, the incident unfolded around 10 p.m. in the 2800 block of South Avers Avenue, in Little Village.

Officers were first called to the scene following a report of a person shot in the area and when they arrived, they found the victim, a 54-year-old man who was being treated by fire crews.
