Portlanders prepare for potential Christmas Eve power outage

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – Wednesday’s potential high winds could knock out power in the metro throughout Christmas Eve and possibly even into Christmas.

A Christmas Eve windstorm isn’t on anyone’s wish list. With some forecast models predicting morning wind gusts up to 60 miles an hour, downed trees, power lines and property damage is possible, which could leave some in the dark and in the cold this Christmas.
