Pat Finn, the familiar face who brought Bill Norwood to life on the beloved sitcom The Middle, has passed away at the age of 60. The news broke on Monday, leaving fans and colleagues mourning the loss of the talented actor.
Finn’s family released a statement through the New York Post, sharing their deep sorrow. “It is with profound sadness and grief that the Finn family announces the passing of beloved comedic actor, Pat Finn,” the statement read.
It detailed his courageous battle with bladder cancer, which he fought into remission in 2022 before it tragically returned and metastasized. “He was a warrior in every sense of the word.”
Beyond his role in The Middle, Finn’s extensive career graced numerous iconic television shows and films. He made memorable appearances in classics like Seinfeld, Friends, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and House, as well as the movie It’s Complicated.
Tributes have poured in from those who knew him. Comedian Jeff Dye shared his personal connection to Finn on social media, writing, “I don’t like to be the guy who posts pics with celebrities that pass, but this guy wasn’t just a celebrity to me.
