BETHLEHEM, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Three people were arrested on Wednesday following a traffic stop in Bethlehem, according to New York State Police. 23-year-old Shaheem Sanders, 23-year-old Thaj Sobers and a 17-year-old each face multiple felony charges.

Just after 3 a.m., State Police troopers pulled over a northbound car on the Thruway for reported vehicle and traffic law violations. The driver of the car was identified as Sanders, and the passengers were identified as Sobers and the 17-year-old, police said.
During further investigation, State Police K9 Ash found about three pounds of a substance that allegedly field tested positive for methamphetamine. Authorities also said they found a large amount of U.S. currency in the car.

All three suspects were charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Sanders and Sobers were also charged with violations of vehicle and traffic laws, police said.
The 17-year-old was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Albany County Youth Part Court and released to a guardian. Sanders and Sobers were reportedly arraigned at Bethlehem Town Court and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail…
