Madison County provides updates on FEMA projects, courthouse building

MARSHALL – The Madison County Board of Commissioners heard updates from County Manager Rod Honeycutt on the county’s numerous FEMA projects during the board’s Dec. 9 meeting.

According to Honeycutt, a potential news contractor will assess the Sprinkle Shelton Building in Marshall, as well as the historic courthouse.

The Madison County Courthouse, on Main Street in Marshall, began operating in 1908, making it one of the oldest in the state. The courthouse is on the National Registry for Historic Places, making it subject to guidelines and regulations…
