OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) — Holiday travelers are rushing to get home for Christmas, creating some of the worst traffic conditions drivers have experienced during the holidays.
Several drivers said the drive into Florida and especially through North Central Florida has been among the most congested they have seen during holiday travel. Many said delays started hours before they even reached Marion County.
Record travel numbers strain Florida highways
Florida is experiencing unseasonably warm temperatures this Christmas Eve, and the holiday spirit is bringing one of the busiest travel seasons the Sunshine State has seen in years.
