Deputy crashes with teen driver after she didn’t stop at intersection, minor injuries

ZEELAND, Mich. — A sheriff’s deputy crashed into a Ford Bronco after the 18-year-old driving didn’t stop at an intersection on Tuesday night.

An Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) deputy collided with a Ford Bronco being driven by an 18-year-old girl from Zeeland while driving east on Washington Avenue near State Street on Tuesday at 10:53 p.m. after the teen didn’t stop at a flashing red light on State Street, according to OCSO deputies.

Two were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
