On Wednesday, Dec. 17, citizens of Harrison County gathered at the old courthouse to celebrate the career and retirement of Sheriff Shain Stephens of the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.
Stephens completed a terrific career with the County surrounded by friends and family — a career that began all the way back in 1988 as an officer for Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement. He moved to the Kentucky State Police in the early 90’s before eventually ending up back home in the Maiden City.
In May of 2014 Stephens took over for retired Sheriff Bruce Hampton, and from that time on Sheriff Stephens made a great impact on countless individuals as well as the community at large in Harrison County…
