MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Concerns are growing after an inmate died at 201 Poplar on Sunday, marking the 13th death in the jail this year.
Marcel Hutton, 35, who was charged with second-degree murder, was found unresponsive in his cell at 201 Poplar on Sunday.

“I wish he would have like been there more to talk to Khalaya. Because it’s crazy because the day that they said that they found him unresponsive, that whole day she literally was talking about her daddy,” said Kelsey Glover, loved one of Marcel Hutton.
