MEMPHIS, Tenn. — More than 500 children in Southwest Memphis will wake up with a little extra hope this Christmas, thanks to a church stepping up in a big way.
Mount Vernon Baptist Church hosted its annual holiday outreach just days before Christmas, welcoming families lined up outside the church doors for what many described as more than a giveaway — a lifeline.
