Snow is expected to begin falling across the region early Friday evening, Dec. 26, with the first flakes reaching New York City, Long Island, and northern New Jersey around 7 p.m. The storm will continue overnight into Saturday morning, Dec. 27, bringing enough accumulation for shovels and plows across the area.
A Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon for portions of southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey, and southeast New York.
