(KRON) — For the second time in just a matter of days, a fire at a PG&E substation has left tens of thousands without power. The fire on Wednesday broke out at around 8:25 a.m. at the utility’s Saratoga Substation.
The fire has been contained, according to PG&E. Initially, about 21,000 customers were left without power as a result. In a subsequent update, a PG&E spokesperson told KRON4 that over 12,000 customers had had power restored with around 8,000 remaining without power.
