SOUTHPORT, N.C. (WECT) – The City of Southport will begin replacing storm drain infrastructure on E. Nash Street between Howe Street and Atlantic Avenue starting the week of Jan. 5.
The project will start at the Atlantic Avenue intersection and continue toward Howe Street. Crews will replace old storm drains and install new infrastructure during the estimated 4-6 week construction period.
E. Nash Street will remain open to traffic throughout most of the project. Two road crossings will temporarily slow traffic, but both ends of the street will stay accessible.
On-street parking will be blocked in various areas that will change daily as work progresses. Temporary driveway closures may occur, according to Southport…
