Luxury condos rise on Sarasota Bay as downtown makeover accelerates

Barbecue, raffle prizes, custom shirts and a DJ were all part of an effort to thank hundreds of construction workers for their work on the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Sarasota Bay in downtown Sarasota. Those working on the building recently celebrated its topping out, a major milestone in the development.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Sarasota Bay is a 20-story, 78-unit luxury condominium going up in the city’s downtown Quay neighborhood, near the Bay Park. Much of the area is currently being redeveloped, with more plans in the near future.

The luxury condos will feature dramatic glass walls, natural lighting, and panoramic views of Sarasota Bay, the harbor, downtown Sarasota and the Gulf, according to the press release. The units will also come furnished, “with an inspired collection of designer-curated finishes.”

What’s in store for Ritz-Carlton residents in Sarasota?

The residences, ranging from 3,500 square feet to just under 6,000 square feet, will also have private elevators, terraces with glass railings and built-in outdoor grills, kitchens with premium European cabinetry, and quartz countertops with full-height backsplashes.
