DES MOINES, IOWA — A pedestrian has died following a hit-and-run crash Tuesday evening in the Drake Neighborhood, prompting an active investigation by police.
Just after 6:00 p.m., patrol officers with the Des Moines Police Department and rescue personnel from the Des Moines Fire Department responded to the intersection of 31st Street and University Avenue after receiving reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.
