WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – There will soon be a new way to help in the fight to end homelessness in the Air Capital.
Second Light, Wichita’s year-round homeless shelter, says it will roll out a volunteer program early next year. The shelter currently accepts money, clothes and hygiene products, but soon Wichitans will be able to donate their time, too.
“I think we want to get the building fully open. We anticipate having our grand opening in March at the close of winter shelter, and to just have our daytime services operational. And I think being opened up to the community and having volunteers come in is going to be a great opportunity for everyone involved,” Second Light Executive Director Dan Clifford said…
