Albuquerque man accused of shooting dog with BB gun

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man is facing a charge after police say he shot his neighbor’s dog in the face with a BB gun. Earlier this month, the Albuquerque Police Department responded to an apartment complex near San Mateo Blvd. and Zuni Road, where a neighbor told them Jonathan Griego shot her dog in the face. The dog survived.

Albuquerque teen charged with fatally stabbing father will stay in custody

The neighbor told police she was outside when she heard her dog yelp and saw Griego walking back to his apartment with a BB gun. Griego is facing a charge of extreme cruelty to animals.

This is not the first time that Griego has done something like this. Four years ago, he shot and killed his neighbor’s cat because he said he was having problems with them. That happened at an apartment complex near Gibso Blvd. and San Pedro Drive. He pleaded guilty to cruelty to an animal and was given nearly a year of probation…
