Firefighter suffers heat exhaustion responding to Sherwood house fire

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A firefighter suffered heat exhaustion Wednesday night while putting out a Christmas Eve fire at a two-story home in Sherwood, Ore.

Officials with Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue told KOIN 6 News the firefighter was assessed at the scene on SW Roy Rogers Road.

“They’re OK, and they didn’t need to be transported,” Stefan Meyers with TVF&R said.
