Three-alarm Christmas Eve blaze involves several Lebanon City homes

Four residents were displaced and two animals killed after Lebanon fire crews were dispatched to the scene of a three-alarm fire in the 200 block of South 5th Street.

Fire crews were dispatched to 229 South 5th St. at 3:09 p.m. for a reported structure fire. Fire Chief Aaron “A.J.” Sweitzer said that first units arrived to find heavy fire between the 229 and 231 residences.

“We believe at this time that it was an exterior fire that went inside,” he said. “As far as a cause, that is still undetermined.”…
