MS murder suspect accused of stabbing woman, fleeing scene

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is accused of stabbing a woman to death and fleeing the scene on Tuesday, according to the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office.

William Henry Chatman, 73, was charged with First-Degree Murder.

The sheriff’s office said on Dec. 23, they responded to a stabbing at the Lapalla Villa Apartment Complex in Friars Point, Mississippi.

Deputies said before they arrived, the suspect, identified as William Henry Chatman of Friars Point, fled the scene on foot.
