A drunk driving suspect is facing a child neglect charge and was jailed without bond on Christmas Eve.
Laura Lyn Cruz, 41, who lives in the Oakleaf Apartments on County Road 466 in Lady Lake, was taken into custody on Wednesday on charges of driving under the influence and child neglect by the Wildwood Police Department.
Cruz and her husband divorced in 2023 and had a mediated settlement which included a parenting plan. Cruz was also taken to court earlier this year by her credit card company when she failed to pay her bill…
