SEVERANCE, Colo. — A new neighborhood Christmas parade in a small northern Colorado town doubled in size in its second year, bringing the community together to build upon a new Christmas tradition that is quickly growing.
The town of Severance recently held the neighborhood Christmas parade, an event that began just last year and has already doubled in size. The parade was organized by 16-year-old Jonathan Barnes, who launched the event last year after he moved to the town from Fort Collins.
“I wanted to decorate the tractor with the few neighbors we had at that point and drive it down the street for a parade,” Barnes said. “I like the lights in Fort Collins. I like it here, though. I like the breathing room.”…
