Catholic Charities serves 750 holiday meals in annual Las Vegas tradition

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Continuing its longstanding tradition, Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada opened its doors on Christmas Day to serve more than 750 free meals to homeless and vulnerable men, women, and children in the community.

“Everybody, no matter who you are in this world or where you are in this life, we all have dreams, desires, and hope. And if we can help an individual start to restore their dignity of their self-worth, it makes every next step a little easier for them to accomplish what that goal is,” said CCSN president Sara Ramirez.

“During the holiday season it is such a beautiful and joyful time, and in that same breath, it can also be very sad and lonely if people aren’t with their families or maybe life didn’t turn out exactly where they would thought it would be in time.”…
