UNION COUNTY, N.C. — A deputy with the Union County Sheriff’s Office made a big difference for several local families in the busy holiday week.
On Sunday evening, Sergeant Alex Xavier found a full tote of packages that an Amazon driver lost that were supposed to delivered that night. He contacted Amazon and found out it could be multiple days before the company could recover and deliver those packages, cutting it close to Christmas.
