The Charleston County Parks open on Christmas

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The weather outside this Christmas will not be frightful, so it might be delightful to get outside and visit these Charleston County parks.

The following parks and facilities will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, according to Charleston County Parks: Stono River County Park, Wannamaker North Trail, Laurel Hill County Park, Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve, Meggett County Park, Schroder Community Center (outdoor amenities only), Baptist Hill Tennis Complex, Haut Gap Recreation Complex, Thompson Hill Recreation Complex, and St. James Santee Recreation Complex.

The following parks will be CLOSED on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so park employees can spend the holiday with their families:

  • James Island County Park*
  • Climbing Wall
  • Palmetto Islands County Park
  • Wannamaker County Park
  • Caw Caw Interpretive Center
  • Mount Pleasant Pier
  • Folly Beach County Park
  • Isle of Palms County Park
  • Johns Island County Park
  • Kiawah Beachwalker Park
  • McLeod Plantation Historic Site
  • Cooper River Marina
  • SK8 Charleston
