Allapattah Branch Library to Close Temporarily for Dulce Vida Apartments Development, Miami to Gain Enhanced Library Facilities

Miami’s Allapattah community will temporarily lose access to the Allapattah Branch Library, located at 1799 NW 35 Street, which is set to close on December 31. According to Miami-Dade County, the new Allapattah Branch will be integrated into the Dulce Vida Apartments development and feature expanded amenities. The upgraded library will cover 8,500 square feet, up from the current 5,200 square feet, and include a multipurpose community meeting room with advanced audiovisual equipment, as well as modernized reading and study areas. The facility is designed to enhance community access to knowledge and resources.

In the meantime, library patrons will have access to a temporary branch scheduled to open in March 2026 within the Allapattah area, ensuring continued library services during construction. The exact location will be announced closer to the opening. Patrons can also visit nearby branches, including Culmer/Overtown, Model City, and Edison Center, for library services…
