1. DAR: Organization honors a longtime Marco Islander
Betsy Perdechizzi has been part of the fabric of Marco Island for decades as a resident and historian. She is the author of several books which brought the colorful history of Marco Island and its pioneers to modern Islanders. And she brought many of them to life through her dramatic, entertaining, and revealing reenactments.
She and husband, Bill, who also is a key figure in the establishment and preservation of the Marco Island Historical Society and Museum, recently moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico, for health reasons.
