The second-prize-winning ticket matched five numbers in the Monday, Dec. 22 Powerball drawing and was sold at Gurucharan and Brothers, located at 100 West Merrick Road in Valley Stream, according to the New York Lottery.
While no one hit the top Powerball jackpot in Monday night’s drawing, the prize pool is now climbing into jaw-dropping territory. The next jackpot is estimated at $1.7 billion, with a cash value of $781.3 million.
