In what started as a tip from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Santa Rosa police have arrested a local woman, Tahryn Janet Anderson, on multiple drug-related charges after a package with illegal narcotics was intercepted en route to her Santa Rosa home. The Santa Rosa Police Department posted on their Facebook page that their Narcotics Investigations Team received information about a suspicious package sent from Peru containing items resembling everyday products like tea and herbal powders.
The SRPD Narcotics detectives, upon investigation, found the package to include a smattering of psychoactive substances: approximately 7 ounces of Ayahuasca powder, over 1 ounce of cocoa leaves, approximately 6.4 ounces of mescaline powder, and around 3.6 ounces of a variant of green cocaine, all of which are prohibited substances in the States and after the initial discovery, a search warrant was obtained for Anderson’s residence in the 1200 block of Yulupa Avenue, where the detectives found more illicit substances including Gamma-hydroxybutyrate, commonly known as GHB, drug paraphernalia, and packaging materials. Upon the execution of the warrant yesterday, Anderson was present and ultimately detained without incident.
Interestingly, not only was Anderson implicated in drug trafficking, but she was also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, as the investigation revealed that Anderson permitted her teenage daughter to use marijuana regularly. The teenager was left in the care of a relative after the search. In a detailed post on their official Facebook page, the Santa Rosa Police Department outlined the case numbers 25-13469 and 25-13743 related to this incident…
