Regional: More Than 35K Pg&E Customers Remain Without Power, Over Half In Sonoma County

Over 35,000 PG&E customers across the Bay Area remain without power on Thursday as stormy winter weather continues to batter equipment over the holiday season.

The utility agency said wind gusts topping 92 mph caused widespread outages, with the counties of Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Mateo, and Sonoma being the hardest hit. Over 35,000 remain without power, while over 17,000 of those affected are located within Sonoma County.
