A mother was arrested after tensions erupted in her home over Christmas “financial stress.”
Antiegra James, 37, was arrested this past week on a charge of battery following the altercation at her home in Lady Lake.
James’ daughter called her biological father after witnessing the battle between her mother and her stepfather, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
James was going to take a shower and had ordered her daughter to watch her baby sibling. The daughter heard a violent confrontation between her mother and stepfather. She opened the door and peeked out, then called her biological father. The girl told her father to call law enforcement and to come pick her up.
