ST PAUL, Minn. — Through the years, generations of Minnesotans took in the magic of the Dayton’s Christmas decorations. They changed hands multiple times with new ownership, and the show stopped when the Minneapolis Downtown Macy’s stopped the decorations in 2016.
Since then, the decorations have been auctioned off and put into storage.
So it was good luck when John Pihaly walked into a Minneapolis warehouse in 2020…
